Abbey qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist from the University of Sheffield in June 2018 with Distinction and has been a Dental Care Professional since 2010 when she began training as a Dental Nurse. After qualifying in 2013, she then went to on to achieve certificates in Oral Health Education and Dental Sedation Nursing.
Abbey has undertaken voluntary dental missions to Cambodia in 2014 and 2016 with the charity Dentaid where – as part of a team of dental professionals from the UK -she provided much needed treatment and education to vulnerable children and adults from deprived populations who had mostly never seen a dental professional before and suffered from dental disease and pain.
During her time in Cambodia she also gave international lectures at the University of Puthisastra to their dental students.
Abbey enjoys spending her free time with her two pugs and going to music concerts.
