More than 80 doctors, dentists, teachers, family, friends and colleagues packed the state of the art clinic at one80dental in Totley, near Sheffield, on Wednesday 15 January to mark the launch of the centre for advanced dentistry.
Guests were invited to explore the building and see the large training room which has live camera feeds to three ground-floor surgeries. They enjoyed hot canapés with wine and ales before a bottle of Moet Champagne was given away in a free raffle draw.
Guest Kishore Pranjivan, regional director for UK and Ireland with Nobel Biocare, a global leader and pioneer in dental implants, said: “The implant procedures performed at one80dental provide patients solutions for all missing teeth, from a single tooth to complete full mouth rehabilitation.
“Today’s procedures are less invasive and provide patients the ability to have their teeth back on the same day. A practice like one80 truly changes patients’ lives. This is a very impressive facility and one that will serve the region.”
Implants can be an alternative to dentures which avoid the associated pain and problems with speech, eating and self-confidence.
Professor Ian M Brook, one of the UK’s leading implantologists and a member of staff at one80dental, also attended the event.
Principal dentist Nigel Rosenbaum said: “We see patients referred by general dentists and specialists in hospital, so it was important to us that everyone we support had a chance to visit our new facility.
“It was great to see so many people admiring the building and the facilities and to have the opportunity to explain what we can do for them.”
