With summer around the corner, Sheffield has much to offer during these warmer months. Here’s a selection of some of the best events coming up to help you get the most out of June!
Sheffield Wednesday FC Business Academy
This networking event is held at the Hillsborough Stadium on the 3rd June from 12-2pm. Their Business Academies scheme helps ‘support your business from a sole trader to a multi-national organisation’. Tickets are £20.
Something To Smile About
Held at the Thornensians Rugby Ground, the day will consist of live music and cabaret acts, free drumming workshops, circus skills, crafts, rides and plenty of food and drink. This festival aims to raise awareness of and support for the following charities and community projects: CLAPA, Autism Plus, Jacks House, Miners Welfare, Thorne Conservation Group, The Foodbank and the Air, Sea and Army Cadets of Thorne. Tickets start from £10.
Shrek The Musical
Ending on the 7th June, this family favourite is on at the Lyceum. Bringing the much loved film to life on stage as a musical, it portrays a touching love story and a refreshing look at many favourite fairytale characters. Ticket prices start at £23.50.
The Moor’s TotFest
Perfect for families with toddlers, this event runs on the 14th June from 11am to 4pm. There are free workshops in music and dance, children’s rides and dance performances. There is also the opportunity to see real meerkats.
Eroica Britannia
From the 19th-21st June, this 3 day festival looks to be a great event for all ages. There will be a bike ride through the Peak District and the world’s biggest bike jumble. If food’s more your thing, then the GRAZE food festival will cater for you. There’s also ‘acres of shopping’. A weekend pass is just £10 and children under 12 go free.
