Manuel Carbajal Pedraz

Manuel leads our Periodontal service and has significant experience and expertise in all aspects of periodontal treatments and therapies. He is committed to delivering the best possible outcome for his patients and works closely with them to gain and maintain a healthy periodontal condition. His approach emphasises patient-centred care, education and motivation.

Originally from Madrid, Manuel studied for his first dental degree in his home city, qualifying as a dental surgeon in 2009. On moving to the UK, he continued his studies at the Eastman Institute in London gaining a master’s in clinical Dentistry in Periodontology in 2016.  He has since gone on to achieve Membership in Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics, from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. This award has led to Manuel being recognised by the General Dental Council (GDC) as a Specialist in Periodontics.  

As a Specialist in Periodontics Manuel is qualified to diagnose, treat and prevent diseases and disorders (infections and inflammation) of the gums. For more complex cases he can use surgical techniques such as regenerative, mucogingival (gum) procedures, which also include maintaining and placing dental implants, where appropriate. Manuel is committed to his speciality as well as continued personal development, which ultimately enables him to provide a high standard of care to his patients. He keeps up to date with new/innovative periodontal techniques and therapies which allows him to provide a high standard of care treat even the most complex of cases.  He is also supported in the practice by our experienced Hygiene Services Team who are an integral part of the Periodontal Service at one80 Dental.
