Julie is a hugely experienced Dental Hygienist and a leading ambassador for the profession as immediate past President of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT).
She qualified as a Dental Hygienist at the Eastman Dental Institute in London in 1995, and after a short period in community dental health moved into general practice.
She later went on to complete the Extended Duties course and gained a City & Guilds qualification in teaching and has held a teaching post at Sheffield Dental School teaching clinical skills to student dental hygienists and therapists.
Julie was elected President Elect of the BSDHT in 2010, serving as President between 2012 and 2014 where her role took her all over the UK and the world as an ambassador for the profession. The BSDHT is the largest DCP organisation in the country representing dental hygienists and therapists
She is also a member of the British Society of Periodontology and the British Association of Forensic Odontologists.
Julie has a particular interest in treating periodontal disease and the holistic approach to total oral care and well-being.
